Privacy Policy
Effective date:
At mixandmasterengineers.com (owned and operated by MELRHYINST LLC), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information and creative work. We handle client data and creative work with care and use access controls for private order files. Please read the chat-attachment limitation below before uploading sensitive material.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Project Details: Your name, email address, artist/band name, phone number (optional), and project instructions.
Audio Files: Stems, mixes, reference tracks, notes, and production materials submitted for mixing and mastering.
Technical & Usage Data: Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, site navigation metrics, error reports, security events, and audit logs to maintain site security and performance.
Communications & Order Records: Support chats, order messages, attachments, revision feedback, approval and delivery records, notification preferences, and email or push delivery records. We also retain order totals, payment status, and transaction references received from PayPal; these are not full card details.
Payment Details: All payments are processed directly and securely through PayPal only as one-time checkout payments. We never see, collect, or store your credit card or full payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
To fulfill, deliver, and revise your mixing and mastering orders.
To communicate about project status, order updates, and customer support.
To maintain basic business records for accounting and legal compliance, diagnose errors, protect accounts, and investigate payment disputes.
Where applicable data protection law requires a lawful basis, we process order and project data to perform our contract with you, required accounting records to meet legal obligations, and security, support, and diagnostic data for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. Optional marketing and public use of portfolio excerpts rely on your consent.
To send occasional studio updates or promotional offers only if you explicitly opt in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
3. Confidentiality & Audio Assets Your music remains yours. Private order files are accessed by authorized studio staff and service providers as necessary to process, support, and deliver your order.
Chat Attachments: Chat attachments currently use public media URLs and may be accessible to anyone who obtains the link. Do not upload unreleased music, confidential documents, or other sensitive material as chat attachments. Use the private order-file upload instead. A chat conversation is not a guarantee that its attachment links are private.
Retention: Files are retained in active storage for up to 6 months after delivery to accommodate revision requests, backups, or follow-ups, after which they are permanently deleted.
Portfolio Excerpts: We do not sell, share, or release your unreleased music. Short portfolio or before/after demonstration clips are used only with your explicit permission.
4. Data Sharing We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or creative assets. Information is shared with service providers as necessary to operate our studio services: Supabase for account/database and file storage, PayPal for payments, email and push-notification providers for service messages, and Sentry where enabled for error diagnostics. Authorized studio staff may access relevant records for support, administration, and production. Relevant records may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to respond to a payment dispute.
Providers may process information outside your country. The countries and transfer arrangements depend on the provider and deployment configuration; contact support for details applicable to your data.
5. Cookies We use essential, minimal cookies to keep the website running, manage your order session, and analyze general site traffic. You can adjust or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings.
6. Your Data Rights Depending on your location (including rights under regulations like the GDPR), you have the right to:
Access, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you.
Request deletion of your account data or audio files, subject to applicable law and operational or legal requirements. Active orders must be resolved before the standard account-deletion process can complete; contact support if you need to exercise a statutory right while an order is active. Private account data and files are removed through that process, while completed and cancelled order/payment records are retained in anonymized form for accounting. Archiving a conversation does not erase its messages.
Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link provided in our emails.
Where applicable, you may also request a copy of your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent for consent-based uses, and complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully performed. Contact support to make a request; we may verify your identity and respond within the period required by applicable law.
7. Security & Policy Changes We use industry-standard encryption in transit and secure storage controls to protect your data. We may update this policy periodically, and any updated version posted on this page becomes effective immediately upon publication.
8. Contact Us If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us at support@mixandmasterengineers.com.
