Official studio policy
Refund Policy
Effective date:
This Refund Policy governs all purchases made through mixandmasterengineers.com, owned and operated by MELRHYINST LLC ("Studio," "we," or "us"). Because our mixing, mastering, and audio production services are custom, digital, and non-returnable once delivered, this policy outlines the exact conditions under which refunds, account credits, and revisions are processed.
1. Pre-Production Orders & Unredeemed Credits
You are entitled to a 100% full refund on any purchased service or account credit provided that no engineering work, file evaluation, or project setup has officially commenced. This protects clients who wish to lock in promotional pricing prior to submitting their source stems.
To qualify for a pre-production refund:
No engineering work, file evaluation, or project setup has commenced.
You contact support requesting a cancellation prior to project initialization.
Approved refunds are returned directly through PayPal to your original payment method.
2. Active Work & Post-Initialization Policy
Once an engineer begins processing your uploaded stems, analyzing your session files, or generating audio drafts, the order is actively in production. Because audio engineering involves non-recoverable labor and studio time, orders actively in production or delivered are generally non-refundable for work performed, subject to the exceptions and non-waivable rights below.
Requests for artistic adjustments within the agreed scope are managed through our revision process.
Studio Cancellation or Inability to Deliver: If we cancel or cannot fulfill your order, we will refund any undelivered portion. If no usable part of the agreed service has been supplied, we will provide a full refund. Any partial delivery and refund calculation will be explained to you.
Duplicate Payments: An unintended duplicate payment for the same order will be refunded after verification.
3. Scope of Complimentary Revisions
Every standard order includes complimentary revisions designed to align the final mix or master with your initial project brief.
Included in Complimentary Revisions: Adjustments to vocal/instrumental levels, balance tweaks, EQ/compression modifications, spatial effect changes, and refinements based strictly on your initial project notes.
Excluded from Complimentary Revisions (Requires Additional Fee): Submitting new or re-recorded stems, altering song structures/arrangements, changing key or tempo, or providing instructions that contradict your original brief.
4. Commercial Release & Usage Restrictions (Fair Use Safeguard)
Commercial use of delivered audio does not by itself create a right to a discretionary refund for subjective artistic dissatisfaction. It also does not remove any applicable statutory, PayPal, or card-issuer rights. Refund requests and disputes will be assessed on their facts; making a request does not by itself constitute fraud or intellectual property infringement.
5. Express & Rush Add-On Services
Rush delivery fees pay for prioritized queue placement and dedicated studio scheduling. Once an order enters priority processing under a rush timeline, the express add-on portion of the fee is generally non-refundable for priority work performed, subject to the studio-cancellation, inability-to-deliver, and statutory-rights exceptions above.
6. One-Time Checkout Payments
Purchases are paid through PayPal as one-time checkout payments. Payments are not recurring, and no subscription auto-renewal applies.
7. Unauthorized Chargebacks & Dispute Resolution
If you encounter an issue with your order, please contact studio support to seek a resolution. This does not restrict your statutory rights, applicable PayPal dispute rights, card-issuer rights, or filing deadlines. This policy does not guarantee eligibility for PayPal protection, which is determined under PayPal’s applicable terms.
In the event of an unauthorized payment dispute, MELRHYINST LLC will submit complete administrative logs, stem upload timestamps, communication records, revision histories, and audio delivery receipts to financial institutions to contest fraudulent claims.
8. Requesting Assistance
To submit a cancellation or refund request, contact support@mixandmasterengineers.com with your order reference number and the reason for your request. We will review the order, explain our decision, and confirm the refund amount and processing status where approved. Once a refund is issued through PayPal, the time for funds to appear depends on PayPal and the original funding provider.
