SPEED WITH CONTROL

Drum and Bass Mixing and Mastering Services

Fast drums remain articulate, sub remains intentional and every drop keeps its scale at real-world playback levels.

The sound

Mixing and mastering for Drum & Bass

Drum & Bass asks a mix to move quickly without becoming blurred. We separate break detail from sustained bass energy, control sharp synth information and build enough contrast for the drop to feel physical rather than merely dense.

Our approach

Built around your sound

01

Breaks with readable velocity

Ghost notes, snares and cymbal detail are shaped dynamically so the drums stay exciting at speed without turning into constant high-frequency noise.

02

Sub that follows the musical phrase

We test note-to-note balance, harmonics and phase relationships, ensuring bass movement translates instead of disappearing or overloading one note.

03

Loudness without a flat drop

The master preserves a meaningful difference between tension and release. Careful clipping and limiting add level while retaining snap and depth.

04

Liquid, neurofunk, jump up and dancefloor

Drum and bass covers liquid's smooth pads and soulful vocals, neurofunk's complex, technical basslines, jump up's bouncy wobbles and dancefloor DnB's big, bright hooks. Each wants a different balance between drums, bass and melody. We set the snare weight, sub level and mid-bass bite for the subgenre you're making, so the track holds its own next to other releases in that style.

Questions

Drum & Bass mixing and mastering FAQ

Can you control inconsistent reese-bass notes?

Yes. We use note-aware automation and multiband control so the bass remains expressive but predictable.

Do you work with live or sampled breaks?

Both. Processing is adapted to the source, preserving useful grit while improving separation and impact.

Can you deliver a clean and an explicit master?

Yes, provided both final vocal edits or clear edit instructions are supplied.

How loud should a drum and bass master be?

Drum and bass is usually mastered loud for clubs and DJ sets, but over-limiting flattens the snare and makes the drop feel smaller. We push level only as far as the drums keep their snap and the bass keeps its movement.

Do you mix liquid drum and bass with sung vocals?

Yes. Liquid tracks often feature soulful, sung vocals. We keep them warm and clear above fast drums, using reverbs and delays that add atmosphere without washing out the breaks.
